The Fertipump Pro is an excellent alternative to the
Fertigator M1 (440 ounces per hr. max) because you can turn it on or
off by zone and the flow rate is adjustable.(4-40, 8-80, 12-128
oz/hr) It is usually not necessary to change the amount
of fertilizer for each zone as plants consume water and fertilizer
proportionate to the amount of sunlight energy.
It can be mounted next to your controller or outside near your
injection point. It is available in 3 sizes suitable for
nearly any system. It has only 1 connection to your main line
to feed the fertilizer into your main. Included is an
injection quill (a kit that includes a check valve, a 1/4" fitting
with an extension that you thread into your main). There is no
discharge of water from this unit as there is with a Fertigator.
The 3 foot suction line is included and has a suction basket
(filter) and check valve. The suction line can be from any
container, such as the jug the fertilizer comes in or one of the
large tanks shown below. This is a quiet running diaphragm
pump that is adjustable down to 10% of the maximum capacity. A
dial and leaver assist you in setting the desired output.
Select a pump size that will normally run at 50% capacity as that
will give you capacity for heavier injection cycles and still allow
you to reduce the output by half. This unit comes with a pump
start relay that attaches to your irrigation clock's master valve
station. If your controller will allow you to select the
master valve on/off by station, you select which zones to treat
If this feature is not available with your system, add the zone
selector below and you will be able to run the chemical on any of
the zones you assign it to. For outdoor mounting this pump
will fit in the water resistant Nema 4 enclosure shown below.

two irrigations systems are alike. Sizes, locations, and turf
types all have unique needs. We strongly urge you to do
some research before you install an irrigation system. Even if
you already have one, it is helpful to review your system compared
to what is considered standard practice. An easy to understand
tutorial is available at
http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/reviews/index.htm
The
average lawn will need about 10 oz. of our liquid fertilizer per 1000 sq. ft.
each week. In areas where the irrigation system is the
principal source of water, the 10 oz is spread over all the watering
cycles per week. If you do not run your sprinkler system
all week due to rain, you should run the fertilizer system at 20 oz.
per 1000 sq. ft.. the following week to make up for the week of no
application.
