The Chemilizer motor mounts in line on your watering
system. It has 3/4" male hose connections on each side. As
the water passes through the unit, a combination of diaphragms create an
oscillating motion that drives a piston pump that is attached to the
bottom. The pump draws the fertilizer or other chemical up and
injects it into the main line. Several pump sizes are available
and can be interchanged easily on the motor. Pick the pump that
will give you the mixing rate you need. For example, the 1/128
pump will inject 1 gallon of chemical for each 128 gallons of water that
pass through the unit. Or stated reversely, it will draw 1
ounce for each 128 ounces (1gallon) of water that passes through. This
unit is ideal when you have zones of different sizes (gallons per
minute), because it adjusts to the amount of water flowing through it.
This is also ideal for very small zones like hanging baskets and patio
pots because other inexpensive tank systems are not accurate below 4
gallons per minute. The motor in effect "measures" the
amount of water used and automatically adds the correct amount of
fertilizer. This unit is limited to a total of 12 gallons per
minute of water flow at 80 psi or lower. This unit can easily
install on your hose bib so that you can apply fertilizer anywhere you
take your hose. If you prefer to hose water your plants and pots
and fertilize with the Miracle Gro (R)) Liquafeed(TM) this is the perfect
alternative that will save you a lot of money by purchasing the
fertilizer (even Miracle Gro)) in large bags of dry concentrate.
You can purchase a pump size for each of your
different applications and a quick twist removes one pump to be replaced
with another.
