The Fertipump Electronic is an excellent alternative to the Fertigator M1 (40 ounces per hr. max) because you can turn it on or off by zone and the flow rate is adjustable with the change of a dial. It is usually not necessary to change the amount of fertilizer for each zone as plants consume water and fertilizer equally and proportionate to the amount of sunlight energy, but you may need to change it seasonally or to adjust for natural rain fall. It can be mounted next to your controller or outside near your injection point. It has only 1 connection to your main line to feed the fertilizer into your main. Included is an injection quill (a kit that includes a check valve, a 1/4" fitting with an extension that you thread into your main). There is no discharge of water from this unit as there is with a Fertigator. The 3 foot suction line is included and has a suction basket (filter) and check valve. The suction can be from any container, such as the jug the fertilizer comes in or one of the large tanks shown below. This is a diaphragm pump that is adjustable down to 10% of the maximum capacity with a dial marked in 10% increments. This unit comes with a pump start relay that attaches to your irrigation clock's master valve station, and the pump runs when ever the irrigation controller is running. If your controller will allow you to select the master valve on/off by station, you can run only selected zones. If this feature is not available with your system, add the zone selector below and you will be able to run the chemical on any of the zones you assign it to. For outdoor mounting this pump will fit in the water resistant Nema 4 enclosure shown below, but you should purchase locally after your pump has arrived and you have determined how it will be mounted and plumbing routed.
