FERTI-FEED 3 GALLON
This two chamber tank with an internal diaphragm maintains the integrity of your fertilizer so it never gets diluted. The fertilizer is loaded into the upper chamber. Water from your sprinkler system is metered into the bottom chamber. This creates pressure on the diaphragm and forces the fertilizer out the fitting on the side of the tank near the top then into you sprinkler main.. This unit holds 3 gallons of concentrated liquid fertilizer. This is enough for about 8-10 weeks on 4000 square feet of turf. A high quality flow control valve from the medical industry meters water from your sprinkler system into the lower chamber of the tank. Exactly the same amount of fertilizer will be pushed out the fitting on the top side and into your sprinkler system. The flow control valve can be easily adjusted to a fertilizer application of your choice Once set, the design of the system automatically increases for larger zones and applies the same amount of fertilizer per gallon of water for all zones. This tank can operate on systems that do not exceed 100 psi. If your static water pressure exceeds 100 psi this tank can be used if there is a master valve on the main line prior to the tank connection, so there is no pressure on the tank when the controller is off. The Ferti-feeder can also be used on a system that uses a pump to draw water from a source if the pump shuts off when the system is not running. This tank can also be used on a garden hose to apply fertilizer to gardens and beds, but must be used with the hose adaptor connection. If permanently installed to feed patio pots and hanging baskets, the hose adaptor fitting must be used. For permanent sprinkler installations order the main line connection for your line size. If the tank is going to be used with several different systems that require different fertilizer concentrations we recommend the flow meter option which allows you to adjust to your needs and see the cc/minute being dispensed. This tank will fit into a jumbo underground valve box or in the above ground enclosure shown below.. The above ground installation is not only simpler because you do not need to dig a hole for the feeder, but refilling is much easier as well. There are no valves or controls outside of this locked cabinet, making your unit tamper proof. We offer a zone control option that allows you to run the system on selected zones but turn off the system on all other zones.
