INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS OVERVIEW
1. Before ordering: a. Locate a spot on the main line after the back flow device and before the first set of valves where you will locate the connection to the main line, and locate a position for your equipment. b. Note the size of the pipe, and if PVC, Poly, or copper. For FertiPump 3g and FertiPump 4g 1. Order the appropriate size injection coupling. Your unit will not work with any substitute. You will
have to locally purchase adaptors if you do not have PVC. Just
take the injection fitting
to your local plumbing supply store and tell them you have to connect it to your (poly or copper). 2. Cut the main. Remove a length of the main to accommodate the coupler (and adaptors), and install. 3. In the direction of water flow, the first small tubing port is connected to the control valve, and sends water to the bottom of the tank. The second port is connected to the top of the tank, this is the fertilizer moving to the main. 4. Follow the detail instructions with the unit for filling and calibrating the flow valve.
For FertiPump HF, FertiPump LV, FertiPump Pro, and FertiPump Electronic. 1. You will have 1 connection to your main where fertilizer from your unit goes into the main. You can a. For PVC purchase locally a T that has the center branch threaded to 1/4 "NPT and cut the main and glue this T in place, then connect the fertilizer injection fitting. OR
b. Purchase from us a fitting
to and then snap into place on your main. Once the adhesive has cured, drill a hole in the main and attach the injection fitting.
c. For Poly, purchase from us the appropriate size poly tool-less
saddle. This device attaches to your poly line the same way as a saddle valve for an ice maker. 2. Connect the tubing and electrical per the detailed instructions for the unit.
For Fertigator M1 1. You will have 2 connections to your main. One sends water to the unit to move the piston, the other is the fertilizer delivery to the main. a. For PVC purchase from us the straight coupling with 2 ports.. Cut the main to accommodate and glue in place. The M1 can be mounted on the coupling or use tubing to connect to a remote location, such as into an above ground enclosure. OR
purchase 2 of these fittings
b. For copper, purchase from us the straight coupling and locally purchase adaptors.
c. For poly purchase from us 2 Tool-less Saddles and install
without cutting or gluing.
For Chemilizer 1. Purchase locally 2 fittings that will go from your line to the male hose thread on the unit. 2. Connect the unit per detail instructions. For Fertile Earth 1. Purchase locally 2 unions with 1 side 1inch NPT and the other to match your main line. Tip: If your main is 1" PVC, purchase 2 unions of exactly the same style, 1 threaded and 1 slip. Put one half of the threaded union on each side of the unit. Put one half of each slip union on each end of your main. Make sure your unit will mount in the right direction.
