Actinovate®
SP is a high concentration of a patented beneficial bacterium
on a 100% water soluble powder. This powerful new product
effectively suppresses/controls a wide range of soil borne
diseases including Pythium, Phytophthora, Fusarium,
Rhizoctonia, Verticillium and other root decay
fungi.
Actinovate
SP is also labeled as a spray application for foliar diseases
(when appled as a spray) such as Powdery and Downey Mildew,
Botrytis, Alternaria and others.
In
fact, when used as a preventative, researchers have seen
Actinovate SP work as well or better than most
chemicals.
The
benefits of Actinovate SP don't stop there: Because of the
special properties of the Actinovate microbe, plants treated
with Actinovate SP will be vigorous, have increased vitality
and have much better root growth. Actinovate SP contains the
microorganism Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC 108.
When
introduced into the soil this microbe colonizes and grows
around the root system of plants. While settling in the root's
rhizosphere the microbe forms a synergetic relationship,
feeding off of the plant's waste materials while secreting
beneficial and protective by-products. This combination of the
colonization and the protective secretions forms a defensive
barrier around the root system of the plant which in turn
suppresses and controls soil pathogens. S. lydicus also
has been shown to prey on certain pathogens, disrupting their
cell walls and disabling them in the process. Finally, the
by-products of the Actinovate microorganism also aid plants in
complexing minerals and micronutrients found in the soil,
allowing easier uptake and, thus, creating a stronger, more
robust plant.
This
symbiotic relationship between plant and microbe is the
optimum balance for a natural, productive soil environment.
Actinovate SP makes it happen. |

unique soil additive for preventative
suppression/control of root rot and damping off fungi
such as Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Fusarium
and many others. The active ingredient in Actino-Iron®,
Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC 108, is a
naturally occurring beneficial soil bacterium. When
applied to the soil it grows around the root system of
plants, protecting them from harmful soil pathogens.
While in the root system this unique microbe also
produces powerful antifungal by-products that are highly
destructive to disease causing fungi. Additionally, this
microbe will act as a predator and attack certain fungi,
disabling them in the process. Its root colonization
ability, antifungal by-products production and predatory
action make Actino-Iron® a powerful weapon in pest
management.
Actino-Iron®, however, is much more than a fungicide.
Actino-Iron® contains slow release iron that provides
long lasting greening to your plants without fear of
burning (even the most iron sensitive varieties). In
addition the humic acid in Actino-Iron® is used as a
food source by the microbe and works in conjunction with
it in in producing robust, healthy roots and vigorous
plant top growth.
Disease suppression, long-term greening, robust root
growth, larger plants and increased production: You
can't afford to plant without Actino-Iron®!

ROOTSHIELD WP or PLANTSHIELD
|
Based on the
highly-effective,
patented, hybrid fungus
Trichoderma harzianum,
strain T-22, RootShield
Granules and PlantShield
HC (a wettable powder
formulation), protects
roots, stems and leaves
from many pathogens.
They block and actively
attack pathogens by
“eating” them; ensuring
uninterrupted plant
growth. RootShield
Granules and PlantShield
HC are preventative
biofungicides and should
be applied to “clean”
plants. Diseased plants
should be treated with a
curative fungicide
first, since the
aggressively growing
active ingredient
(strain T-22) only grows
on the outside and does
not enter the plant
tissue. RootShield
Granules and PlantShield
HC are compatible with
fertilizers, algaecides,
insecticides,
disinfectants, miticides,
herbicides, growth
regulators, and nearly
all fungicides. |

Mildew
Cure™ Natural Powdery Mildew
Fungicide

Mildew
Cure is a natural, organic fungicide that provides good control of
powdery mildew on various crops and ornamentals. A powdery mildew
fungus is an obligatory parasite and thus requires a living plant
host. Powdery mildew colonies quickly render a flowery potted plant
undesirable. The powdery mildews infect a wide range of plants and
are well represented on ornamentals, vegetables, and fruit
crops.
As
Mildew Cure is derived from garlic extracts and other essential
oils, these active ingredients are food grade materials. The US EPA
has exempted Mildew Cure from registration under FIFRA Sec. 25b. It
has no residue tolerance limits for any food crops, including fruits
and berries.

MilStop®
Foliar Fungicide For Powdery Mildew
Control

MilStop
is an EPA-registered, potassium bicarbonate based, broad-spectrum
foliar fungicide for curative control of powdery mildew and
preventative control of many other foliar diseases. MilStop has a
1-hour REI, and is compatible with many beneficial insects. The
active ingredient in MilStop, potassium bicarbonate, has been
approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a G.R.A.S.
(Generally Regarded As Safe) product.
How
does MilStop Work? MilStop mode of action is almost
immediate in causing the desiccation of fungal spores upon contact.
It also inhibits enzymes involved in fungal cell wall formation by
altering the pH levels on the leaf surface.
What
diseases does MilStop control? Alternaria blight,
Anthracnose, Ascochyta blight, Black Spot, Botrytis blight, Botrytis
gray mold, Cercospora leaf blight, Corynespora leaf spot,
Didymellina leaf spot, Diplodia tip blight, Entomosporium leaf spot,
Fusarium, Helminthosporium leaf spot, Ink spot, Phomopsis blight,
Powdery mildew, Ovulinia sp., Ramularia leaf spot, Ray blight, Scab,
Septoria leaf spot.
On
what crops is MilStop labeled? MilStop is labeled on
over 85 annual and perennial flowers, ornamental and shade trees,
woody and herbaceous ornamentals, many herbs and vegetables, and
fruit and nut trees. See label for specific crops.
What
are the application rates? Apply 2.5 to 5.0 lbs of
MilStop per acre per week. For low growing crops such as bedding
plants, BioWorks recommends between 25 to 50 gallons of water be
applied per acre. For medium height crops, apply between 50 to 100
gallons of water and for taller crops such as roses, apply between
100 to 200 gallons per acre. Always read and follow the label
directions.
Chemical
compatibility. MilStop is compatible with most chemical
pesticides and can be used in a rotation with chemicals in an
Integrated Pest Management approach to disease control.
MilStop
can be used as a stand-alone fungicide for foliar disease control.
Do not acidify or mix additional surfactants into the tank
solution.
